From the outset, GROWEEKEND has been structured around a triple objective, with La Rencontre as the common thread: to raise awareness of the actions of the Ligue contre le cancer de la Vienne, to promote prevention and to raise funds to finance its initiatives. Initially conceived as a simple afternoon lotto-theatrical event, by 2021 the event has been transformed into a full weekend of festivities and solidarity.
In 2025, GROWEEKEND takes on a new dimension with its cosmic theme: heading for the stars on November 7, 8 and 9 at the Salons de Blossac in Poitiers, the emblematic venue of the very first GROLOTO. The ideal setting for a festive, civic-minded event where imagination meets commitment. Decorations, entertainment and artistic proposals will plunge the public into a unique intergrolactic adventure, in aid of the fight against cancer. Together, let's make this space mission a moment of sharing, emotion and hope.
From 6pm to 9pm, come aboard the GRO Space Shuttle for a 5-minute interstellar voyage full of humor, surprises and thrills.
At 7.30pm and 8.45pm, Théâtre dans la Forêt presents Nouvelles du Cosmos, a participatory radio performance inspired by Ray Bradbury's Martian Chronicles, where the audience chooses which stories to listen to.
From 10pm, it's time for the Boom Intergrolactique: GRODJ take you on a cosmic dancefloor, followed at 11pm by Lüdmila Stardust, a drag artist and DJ with an electrifying, poetic style.
The evening continues at midnight with DJ Dupont, for an eclectic set mixing pop, rock, hip-hop and electro, impossible to leave.
A whole night of partying, music and escapism... feet on the ground, head in the stars!
